Javanese Gobang Chair WS1052

Old Javanese Gobang Chair, is a lazy chair commonly found in plantation area in Central & East Java region during the colonial era. Made for the landlord or chief of the plantation. There’s a piece of wood under the chair’s arm that can be slide out for putting your leg on it. The Gobang name is taken from the old Javanese coin (metal) on the top of the chair’s arm that join the arm and the slider. Made from Java Teak & rattan. Finish with wax.
